- They talk about it
They say the words ‘systems thinking’ out loud. Bad idea. Don’t talk about it at all at work. Try not to use any of the language associated with it. People will resent you for going on about something they don’t understand and don’t want to understand. They will dismiss it as a separate thing. Only talk about it if you are confident others want to hear it.
- They start to criticise others
No one enjoys being criticised. Don’t be critical of everything and everyone or become a smart arse. Don’t become sarcastic or hectoring. No one likes it. Save it for a blog, like this. - They forget the good stuff
Management thinking is flawed but look around you. Stuff gets done. This is often in spite of the system, but patients are treated, criminals are caught and bins are emptied. To remain credible, you have to acknowledge that the prevailing style of management works. In a fashion.

Here we go again: You dismiss scientific proof that the world int linear, our minds are not linear, we have been taught by theologists to think linearly, as you do as well, though Descartes and the Method of Discourse (“we can find the truth by the LINEAR CONCATENATION of syllogisms.”
ST is A LANGUAGE much more powerful than any other language. Yes, is for smart, intelligent, well-bred, well-educated people.
You don’t know what ST and better yet SD is all about or how it’s been applied by NASA, the Rome Commission about “Europe,” in studying the climate, simulation, modeling, etc. If the terrain says something different from your map (“Mental Model”) throw the map because is wrong.
